USGS Stream Gages - Real-time Stream Conditions

The U.S. Geological Survey has a Water Science Center in each State that maintains stream gages across the country.

Tip: On many standardized USGS web pages of streamflow, if you change the state 'initials' in the html address
you can get the same info for any state you want.

New Jersey Surf Fishing

NJ Fish & Wildlife - Saltwater Fishing page

The Striped Bass Bonus Permit Program

The Fishing Line
Look for the reports for various places here.

Grumpy's Tackle - Seaside Heights and IBSP fish reports
Currently the most reliable reports and mostly fun to read; a nice bait and tackle shop, too; RECOMMENDED!

Striper Surf
Interesting info, worth hunting around. They sell fishing rigs, too.

NJ Surf Cams
LBI link goes to the Coastal Monitoring Network for live surf cams

TerraServer Map - Barnegat Bay Inlet
Natural artwork!

October 2009 - I can't recommend clicking on Betty and Nick's website link anymore.
See Grumpy's Tackle above instead for current reports.
B&N's site used to have marginally reliable reports, weather, tides, etc., but now I just can't *see* it to tell what's happening.
There is too much unnecessary junk on their webpage. Do I NEED YouTube videos to get a fishing report??? (No, I don't!)
I've left the link here for now until I decide to drop it altogether.
Betty and Nicks - Seaside Heights and IBSP fish reports
Hey B&N's - Make something friendly to folks with simple connections or who need text only (visually limited).
Leave out the auto-refresh to inflate your click counts, hidden ad links, and self-promoting videos. Geez.
To my readers: Sorry for the rant, but that is a great example of an awful web page. Mine is no charmer, but at least you can read it.
